1. Quake Champions: Doom Edition is a free, standalone Doom-engine remake of Quake Champions. Download the full package from qcde.net. This bundles the game files and the Q-Zandronum engine it runs on.
2. Quake Champions: Doom Edition launches Doomseeker which is used to find and join the servers listed here.
3. Check the IWAD column in Doomseeker. Most servers run doom2.wad from retail Doom II, and Zandronum requires your IWAD to match the server's exactly - the free package ships freedoom2.wad instead. If a server won't let you in, that mismatch is usually why, and owning Doom II opens up most of the list.

Joining a server Find the server in Doomseeker and double-click it to join - it launches the game with that server's exact files. Q-Zandronum can't load or unload pk3s while running, so to switch servers you quit and join the next one from Doomseeker. The connect button copies the address so you can find it there.
